Just before catching his train, he asks Emil, a Russian film director on his way to be a judge at the Cannes Film festival to use his camcorder to record his boarding, but accidentally causes Emil being left behind at the station. Bean attempts to cheer up the director's son Stepan as the train continues south but matters are made more hectic by the fact that Emil has reported his son to have been kidnapped and Bean losing his wallet and essential travel documents at a pay phone where he and Stepan attempt to contact Emil. We loved Rowan Atkinson from his work in Black Adder, and The Thin Blue Line. This movie definitely lives up the standards of his previous work. There were lots of kids in the theater- many of them seemed a little too young to understand what was going on and they asked a lot of questions and their parents had to explain it to them. Better for older children. We enjoyed the movie greatly in spite of all the talking and noise around us because there is very little dialogue to catch. It's mostly visual. The European actors were great! Willam Dafoe was incredibly funny and understated. The sight gags were wonderfully choreographed. It was like watching a very funny ballet. The Lip Syncing of the aria from Gianni Schicchi was tremendous! You'll laugh from the beginning to the end. This is the standard by which "feel good" movies should be measured. We simply "felt good" as we left the theater- except that my face hurt from laughin so hard.

Everyone will love it if they like funny movies. The story was not that great but the funny parts were very funny. If you want to stay there is a very small clip at the end of the credits.

While not all this works -- the restaurant scene belongs in some other movie -- it is a great afternoon and the scene in which Atkinson and the boy lipsynch grand opera rates a place alongside the stateroom scene in "Night at the Opera"...That lead actress is enough to make me forget my vows and did anybody else notice the "North by Northwest" music as the train departed...

Mr. Bean is at it again. This time he finally catches a break and wins a vacation to France. Along the way Mr. Bean touches the lives of everyone he comes into contact with. With all his fumbles and bumbles Mr. Bean must find his way to the cannes film festival to return a lost boy with his father. This movie is a laugh and heart warming with the ever lovable Mr Bean.

I'm not one for what I call "dumb" humor so I really wasn't that excited about going to see it. My kids wanted to see it and since it's one of the few G movies out there that isn't a cartoon I figured no harm could come from it. It was surprisingly funny for both me and my kids. I wasn't rolling in the aisles but I chuckled almost constantly...and screamed a couple of times. It amazes me that a movie can be made with the main character only saying a combination of about 6 different words the entire movie. We'll definitely purchase the DVD when it comes out. I would definitely suggest this movie for children, adults or teens.
